Tomorrow evening I will be seeing Transformers: Product Placements in Disguise, and I'll be sure to review it afterwards. From what I've read, it sounds as if the movie has made the mistake of trying to give a good explanation to something that has no good explanation--a bunch of robots from outer space who look like cars. Apparently, most of the Autobots are GM vehicles, and it's apparent from banner ads I'm seeing that GM is milking this for all its worth. Since the Autobots are Americans, the movie-makers should have made the Decepticons European or Japanese cars (how's that for a Fourth of July movie?), and then they should have had the Autobots lose the war because they're constantly breaking down.
