April Christian Science Fiction/Fantasy Blog Tour, Day 2 and a MEME

King. Guardian. Return. What's not to love?

Return of the Guardian King by Karen Hancock is still the Blog Tour's feature novel this month.

But before we can get to that, we have a desperate situation on our hands. Keith Strohm From the Shattered Drum has memed me. It's my first meme. I'm so excited.

So here we go. *Ahem.* Testing, testing, one two three. Me-me-me-me-me! Me-me! Meme! Okay, I'm ready.

The meme is entitled Booked by 3--In Character. I don't understand it either.

Name up to three characters...

1). You wish were real so you could meet them. This is tough since my favorite characters are ones I neither want to be or meet, especially in a dark alley. Let's see...

a. The first is obvious. Thorn and Bone from Bone, of course. I know that's two characters, but they're a unit.

b. Probably Indiana Jones. You think I'm cheating because he's a movie and not a book character, but you forget the paperback series by Max McCoy. The great thing about Indy is that he, unlike James Bond, is so good at keeping his sidekicks alive. Even street urchins, shady nightclub singers, bumbling museum curators, and English Shakespearean actors pretending to be Egyptians can survive an adventure with Indy.

c. I'm not sure, but it's got to be a friendly dragon. If only I'd already read Dragon Rider and His Majesty's Dragon, both of which are on my shelf. Hmm...maybe Saphira from Eragon. I know the book's lame but Saphira's a sweetie.

2). You would like to be.

a. Harry Potter. No, what am I thinking??? He's going to die or lose all his powers in a couple of months. Let's see...all my favorites are tragic...one of the kids from The Chronicles of Narnia, maybe?

b. Sora from Kingdom Hearts. If Amano would stop wasting his talent aping the video games and throwing in movie cameos, and if Disney would bring back its animation department, this could be a series to rival Duck Tales in sheer awesomeness.

c. Any crew member of the Intrepid Explorer from Neotopia. Any of them. But preferably that red-headed engineer guy since he gets to hit on the princess.

3). Who scare you.

a. Manga women. Like, all of them. They are creepy!

b. Legato Bluesummers from Trigun. I must have an irrational fear of Japanese cartoons or something.

c. Baron Vladimir Harkonnen from Dune. What a perfectly nasty villain.

So, who do I meme? I meme you, Pikachu! Er, I mean, I meme Elliot over at Claw of the Conciliator. And...get this...I meme every member of the Christian sf/f blog tour who visits my blog! How you like them apples?
